WinXP: I'm having a problem with AOL starting automatically whenever I bootup. I am constantly changing it to Manual startup in Services.msc. but it keeps changing back to Automatic and I was advised by AOL to change the setting in IE to "never dial a connection" but I can't access this option in IE Internet Options - the Settings are all greyed out. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

    Hi try.
    XP-IE-Repair
    Start>settings>control panel>add-remove>select M IE>add-remove>select Repair

IE fix. will reregister IE core files.

Thanks much for reply. Cannot select MSIE Repair as there is no Microsoft Internet Explorer listed in Add/Remove Programs...there is only Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1. Still cannot get Internet Options - Settings to enable "never dial a connection"...all settings are greyed out. I cannot get AOL Connectivity Service in 'services.msc' to start manually - each time I set it to start 'manual' it keeps changing back to automatic at bootup. How else can I disable AOL Connectivity Service from "automatic" start?
