    Hello,

    First try this:

    Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    Go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections tab.
In the Dial-up settings area, select your ISP's connection so that it is highlighted, and then choose the Settings button.
Ensure that the Automatically detect settings, Use automatic configuration script, and Use a proxy server options are not selected.
    Choose the OK button.

    Choose the LAN Settings button.
Ensure that the Automatically detect settings, Use automatic configuration script, and Use a proxy server options are not selected.
    Choose the OK button.
    Select the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security group.
Place a checkmark beside the Use Fortezza, Use PCT 1.0, Use SSL 2.0, Use SSL 3.0, and Use TLS 1.0 options.
Choose the Apply button, and then choose the OK button.

    Attempt to connect.

If no joy, please post back.

    Good luck,

Go to Control Panel/Software add-remove, and highlight MS Internet Explorer.

    Click 'remove'.

You'll now ought to be presented with 3 options, one of them being 'restore former Windows Configuration'.

If you choose that one, you should get your 5.5 back again.
I hope it corrects your problem as well.

    Good luck,
