Hi. Im running win 98SE with a 450mhz pent 3 computer. I am connected thru ADSL. I just downloaded IE 6 and now when I go to websites it takes a few seconds to download the page and if there are any pictures on the page it will show a little blue and red triangle before it loads the picture. It never did this before. Is there a setting that I have wrong or is IE 6 full of problems?

there shouldn't be anything wrong at all about that as long as it loads the pictures. that icon just shows you that there's an image there while it's loading. as long as the image loads there's really nothing wrong with the icon, though i believe you could turn it off, even though it really isn't a problem. you'd have to check out under Tools/Internet Options... to see if you can turn it off. it'd be in a long list of checkboxes for your certain browser options.

I would go to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Click on Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools and click Add / Remove at the Lower Right. Then select restore to previous windows version.
You should get you IE 5 or 5.5 back.

You can remove the icon by going to tools/internet options/
advanced tab, scroll to multimedia, and uncheck show image download placeholders.
