I'm running IE 6 on Windows ME. Recently my browser has started showing all web page text with center alignment including text in my e-mails. It's DEFINITELY a problem with my browser. I just don't know how to fix it. Can anyone please help?

To stod73: I'm running IE 6.

To dvk01: I went to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Accessibility but there's no mention of stylesheets there or anywhere in Advanced?

Help! Please! Anyone??

Hi Cédric... Saying IE6 is incompatible with Win98 is something of an stretch. Many people use the two together.

My experience has been IE6 with my Win98SE has more invalid page faults and that neat little message asking if I want to send an error report to M$ and then shuts down explorer, than I'm willing to deal with. I went back to IE5.5 SP2 and those problems went away.

Having said that... I now use an alternate browser called MyIE2 and am really pleased with it's performance. It is very similar to IE in appearance and function and has more useful features the IE ever thought of having. Think of it as IE designed with common sense incorporated. Tabbed web paging, built it popup blocker along with other goodies. It's free here:

I recommend the "Lite" version.
