Pretty simple problem that i can't figure out.

When your browsing the net and you click on a link that needs to bring up a new instance of IE
for example when browsing here and you click on a link in a thread it opens up a new IE and takes you to that link

when i try to do that it brings up an IE error and shuts down that program. it will leave the original one up.

I ran spy-bot and ad-aware and didn't come up with anything unusual.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Close all programs

Click on Start>Run, key in the following and press enter

    regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Click on OK when you receive the completion message.

If that doesn't resolve it, try the same command with the following files

    Shdocvw.dll
    Msjava.dll
    Actxprxy.dll
    Oleaut32.dll
    Mshtml.dll
    Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (win 2k and xp only)

If that doesnt work go here

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

download hijack this, unzip to program files, run it and post a log

You can also try running this
