Browsers are but a twig in the forest of risky behavior. I use Avant with Active X and scripting turned on only when I need it and I've been happy for years and years...and years...and safe, but I could have been happy with almost any browser for years and years, and safe.

    Hi dannyn,

IE is more of a target for malware - that said, FF also has vulnerabilities. However, FF has many useful extensions/plugins.

CustomizeGoogle can be set to prohibit Google from collecting a dossier of your online behavior if you are paranoid about your privacy. NoScript can help you to control whether website scripts run or not and at what level, FasterFox helps you to understand how fast a webpage loads, and ShowIP lets you know exactly where you are located on the Internet wrt a webpage, and there are extensions to protect against phishing attacks. Most work on both Windows and Linux.

Firefox is Arnold Schwarzenegger and IE is a Predator.

    No.
They are both pretty good but in the end, only one becomes Governor.
