There are some systems with XP that no matter what you do, this happens so I would download and install www.superantispyware.com, update and scan with it and if the problem continues, I would go into Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it which will take you back to 6.0.
Actually I have to agree with Rich-M on this but before we decide that this is the result I would like to get some system specs and make and model of the computer, the version of windows and service pack(s) installed?
Also any error messages that are created from this?
Tried that but still having the problem. I notice it is also happening when I close a window using the cross at the top right hand corner before the page completes downloading, all over windows close. Also I am now getting another error - debug error - program c:\program files\internet explorer\ixeplore.exe - abnormal program termination.
Try reseting IE on the ADVANCED tab then scroll down the list and remove the checkmark at "Enable third party extensions". Something to try....
