I am using XP Prof and IE 6. Lately I seem to be having a problem opening links on web pages. This is not unique to IE as it also happens when using netscape. Any ideas as to how to remedy the problem.

    Thanks

Well, it WOULD help to know exactly what the problem is.
Run housecall and see if it turns up with anything.

If I click on a link on a web page a meesage appears on the bottom of the page saying there was an error. Ran house call-nothing turned up.

Hi Danish, and welcome to TSG.. :)

Could you please download 'Hijack This!' from http://www.spywareinfo.com/files/hijackthis.zip
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, click "Save Log", and copy and paste it in a reply.

This will give us a rundown of what’s going on in your PC. One of us here will be glad to analyse it for you. Don’t fix anything yourself yet, as a lot of the stuff on that list will be harmless or required.

    Cheers

    Liam

Hmmmm, the error message at the bottom of the page sounds like a javascript error, do you have trouble click on all the links on any on any page?
