I have Internet Explorer 5.5, and recently have been unable to download anything because I get a plugin error. "The plugin was not found." It's not a plugin like quicktime or anything, so how do I fix it, or where can re-download the basic plugins that come installed?

Have you tried doing a repair of IE?

    Go to control panel

    Add/Remove Programs

    Internet Explorer 5.5

    Click on change/remove

    Choose the option for repairing.

wow! I didn't expect any responses so quickly! Yeah, I tried the whole repair thing, needless to say, it didn't work. I was going to uninstall IE altogether and reinstall it, but I seem to have lost that capability.
    Thanks
