has this happened to anyone?- when I click on an icon (ex. C drive in My Computer) I get an IE Script Error message saying "an error has occured in the script on this page"- the specific error is "Object doesn't support this property or method"

then I'm asked if i want to continue running scripts on this page with a yes/no prompt- when I hit yes, and click the icon again, it open the file/program fine-

how do I fix this thing?- this is in Win 98/IE 5 by the way-

thanks-

An IE error when using My Computer that's a strange problem. Try this: open IE select Tools, Internet Options, Adnvanced tab, scroll down to Browsing options, and check Disable Script Debugging. Then try My Computer.

That'll prevent the messages from coming up, but I'd be a little more concerned about the fact that they're coming up at all just when clicking on local drives.

I suggest you scan your hard drive for viruses.
