This thing recently appears all the time blocking my page, cannot be moved or deleted.

U unfortunately here IE in the "settings>settings....." has NO Desktop Notifications .

"Desktop Notifications:
(allows Gmail to display pop-up notifications on your desktop when new email messages arrive)

This browser does not support desktop notifications. To enable notifications, upgrade your browser to Google Chrome."

Can anybody help me to get rid of it?

CHROME or others? No thank you

Well, it appears to me that you can update now, or keep seeing these messages for the next two weeks when you will be updated if want to or not.

Remember all of the nice pre Windows 10 messages and updates we got?

It is not simply in IE. You will see that in any browser you use. We use Palemoon and get that. It is down to 1 week for us. Simply click update in 2 or 1 week, in my case, and the box disappears.

I'm hoping there will be a way to use the "old" interface. I tried the new, hated it and went back to the old about 1 month ago.

Than you, I tried it & went back to the classic I had from the options in the "Star" on top right corner.
