After doing everything listed below and then finally running Ad-Aware 6.0 and removing some things (the last step I did), the problem ceased to exist!

************************************

Dell Pentium IV
1.4 Mhz
128 MB Ram
Windows ME 4.90.3000
Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1

Several weeks ago I noticed IE pop up windows started appearing on my computer when no one was on it. The windows would loop endlessly and eventually lock up the computer. The only way around it was to unplug my cable modem allowing me to complete a word document without freezing. I made sure I ran all current updates available from the MS Windows Update site. Once I did this, the looping ended and now I just get “Iexplorer has caused an error in User.exe.” I downloaded Spybot and deleted what seemed like a zillion things it found. I tried reinstalling Windows ME and IE6 but that did nothing. I looked through this forum and followed all the steps in this link . I downloaded “Hijack This” but am not knowledgeable enough to do anything with the results. Any Help would be much appreciated.
