I am trying to install a memory card reader in my Windows 2000 system. I download the drivers and when I click on the program to install, it starts but after agreeing to the licensing it comes up with an error "error installing ikernal.exe"! How can I fix this?

If you have not already done so, try deleting the contents of the temp folders, reboot, and run the installation again. Be sure you are installing from a local drive and not a NFS mounted drive. Also, the "iKernal" error will be displayed if more than one copy of the installation is being run at the same time. make sure no copies of InstallShield are running before attempting to install again.
