I followed the first step of unzipping the startup.exe and copy and paste. Now what do I do. What don't I need. I never knew the start up had all this.

Krytic I am certainly no expert but I do see Kaaza in your start up and it has been known to wreck havoc.
First you may want to start a new thread, you piggybacked on a resolved thread so it will get buried quickly. For now you can do the following and I will see if we can't get a mod to move this to the right place!

Download Spybot - Search & Destroy

After installing, press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.

Next, go to the Settings tab > File Sets, and uncheck 'System Internals' and 'Tracks' .
These aren't needed for our present purpose, and you can always experiment with them later on.

Finally, after closing down Internet Explorer, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds. ( pre checked in red)
