TRYING TO OPEN SAVED MS WORKS LETTER:

EXPLORER HANGS AFTER I CLICK 'CLOSE' AND 'WINWORD' SHOWS UP 2 OR MORE TIMES ON TASK LIST WITH CTRL, ALT, & DEL.

WHILE TRYING TO OPEN SAME FILE AFTER OPENING 'WORDPAD' BY GOING TO START, PROGRAMS, ACESSORIES, 'WORDPAD':

WORDPAD caused an invalid page fault in
module MSWRD832.CNV at 018f:0140fcf5.

I CAN OPEN OTHER WORD/WORKS FILES IF I GO TO START FIRST AND OPEN 'WORDPAD', BUT NEVER IF I JUST DOUBLE CLICK ON THE SAVED WORD/WORKS ITEM ITSELF.
