so i download winmx because i would like to continue participation in the file sharing bonanza. However, since returning to school, i have to deal with the restrictive firewall they have placed on our college LAN. their reason behind this they say is "because it is copy-right infringement" but since this is a liberal school, i have trouble believing that is the reason (i think its bandwidth issues). Anyways, my problem is that i cant connect winmx because of this and i was wondering a couple of things:
    1. Last year i used KaZaa with a tunneling program (http-tunnel) and i could connect no problem. would that work with winmx and if so, can anyone suggest any other tunneling programs since http-tunnel doesnt seem to be responding very well lately?
    2. is there any way i can use anything else to get through the firewall and establish a connection to the network? and if so, is there any way i can do this and remain "invisible" to the network administrators so they cant detect me using winmx? i have to be careful because they have threatened expulsion to anyone who is caught and while i may sound stupid for continuing usage of p2p networks, i was able to use kazaa last year through the firewall and no one ever caught me (maybe because i was using a tunneler)?

So if anyone can help, id be glad to listen. some important information may be that im running XP Pro...i cant talk to the network administrator about this because obviously its against our rules...and i am a little unfamiliar with how this connecting to p2p networks works. a response would be greatly appreciated.
