I have went threw all my network stuff. I have no idea how to fix this is was working last time I used it. Can you help me?
If the wireless adapter is easily accessible through a cover on the laptop bottom carefully and firmly remove and replace the card several times. This will fix any possible looseness or corrosion problems.
Make sure you have the latest wireless driver installed.
Compaq presario CQ57-212NR Notebook PC (support site)
It came with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
It appears to have a built-in Atheros or Ralink wireless device.
The Windows 7 64-bit drivers listed for it appear to be about 5-1/2 years old.
Go into the Device Manager, then expand the Network Adapters heading.
What's the exact description of the wireless device listed there?
Double-click the wireless device entry to open its properties window.
In the "General" tab, does it show that device as working properly?
In the "Driver" tab, what's the exact driver version and driver date?
