I'm questioning Dr. Phil again about communication

Today I watched Katie Couric interview on CNN. Dr. Phil just said this: "Only 7% of conversation is verbal." In other "words" , the other 94% of a conversation is body language (the way we roll our eyes or fold our arms or stand.... ) . WHoa, here we go again. I think thats a little off.

On the other hand, everyone here at TSG seems to communicate just fine without ANY verbal skills, just typing skills. That would be ZERO% verbal, right?

Well, there's two mistakes already. Watching Katie "I have no brain" Couric and the Communist News Network! ;)

Well, my cable company screwed up FOX network (its so blurry I can't see anything but snow) so what am I to do? Is cnbc or one of the others any better?

So Dr. Phil only speaks 7% of the time on his show and uses his body to communicate with us the rest of the time??? Seems he never shuts up when I'm watching the show...which is less than 1% of the time! :D

By the way....7% + 94%=101% when I was in school! :D

Relunctly... I do have to agree with Dr. Phil here... Maybe its not 7%... but the number is surpisingly low...

Has your sis been talking to ya again!!! ;)

In business thats the first thing we are taught... to look the role, there is a certain business editque that speaks louder than words...

Look at relationships...
Sometimes all a smile, a gentle rub of the hand, a wink... whatever... says everything that your feeling....

And I thought I was the math expert. Yes, 94+7=101 (Guess I was in a hurry.)
I should edit that post to 95% non-verbal communication.
Just kidding, 93%, are you happy? Heading over to flirt-n-time, see ya:)

I have got to quit listening to that guy, too many statistics to remember. Some day I'll tell you how many times a week he thinks couples should be having...................If you really want to know. I thought that thread might be a bit too much for TSG.:(

I think he said the average was 2 1/2 times per month. No kidding, and no comment. I just feel sorry for those people when its only 1/2.
