this only started happening today.
My wireless Apple keyboard won't let me type on my iMac. I've restarted my computer twice, gotten new batteries for my keyboard, and turned it on and off twice.
Any time I try and type, either it does nothing but make a noise, or If I type a certain letter, something will pop up. Example: when I press the letter N, my files pop up.
I had to take my password off just so I could get into my computer.

It almost sounds like the Command-key is perpetually pressed, with Command-N being the shortcut to open a new Finder window.

I'm assuming you don't have anything pressing the key, so it could be the keyboard went bad.
