Hello - I'm running Microsoft Outlook 2003 and notice that when receiving e-mails with a graphic within the body of the e-mail it does not display. Rather, I get the image outline with a small red X in a white box. Specifically, e-mails with embedded bitmap, objects or pictures do not show.

However, when I hit "forward" or "reply" - then the image displays correctly.

It used to work but for some time now it no longer displays correctly.

Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution?

    Many thanks!

Assuming that right click / display image doesn't work, and it probably won't, there is a more advance solution. Unfortunately it involves a registry edit and I don't feel comfortable posting things like that (I know just enough to be dangerous).

Perhaps someone with more experience will come along and step you through the edit. It's really not that hard, but I don't want to overstep my comfort zone.

I thought I'd at least mention that there is a solution out there . . . even though this post doesn't help you a bit.
