Just one day before I tried to purchase and download mp3-music from iMesh intending to pay for it by track. After a somewhat lengthy registration process including an enforcement to use their XoftSpySE Anti-Spyware checker and after a reasonable payment for their membership they stated just at my last registration click that they don't sell primary contents to Germany at present but, I would now have the opportunity to use their other services.
These turned out to be P2P-services for music and videos. In their FAQ they clearly state that they don't provide for illegal exchange of primary content (in fact they classify their content accordingly and block downloads of primary content not paid for) but, I have some rather indication that they spy out their users themselves.
Does anybody know something more (than Wikipedia) about iMesh?

Hi John, thank's for your valuable advice. Actually I did found about 1,6 G (!) of iMesh protocol encrypted files on my system after two days of sharing. I will remove iMesh.
