i tried flashing my bios yesterday with winphlash, it made it to step 9 of 11 and all of a sudden my computer shut off. when i turned the computer back on, nothing happened, i can't access the bios and nothing comes up on the screen. is my motherboard screwed or is there a fix for this? Thanks.

Usually it means the BIOS is corrupted. Typically yes, this means a new motherboard. Might check with the manufacturer to see what other suggestions they may have. It's always the risk one takes when updating the BIOS. Guess I've been lucky all these years. But that's all. Lucky.
