Incorrect DOS version, missing and corrupted windows files

    At start up, my screen displays: The following files are missing or corrupted:C:\windows\SETVER.EXE
    There is an error in your CONFIG.SYS file on line 8
    C:\windows\command\display.sys
    There is an error in your CONFIG.SYS file on line 10
    C:\windows\command\country.sys
    There is an error in your CONFIG.SYS file on line 11

    The following files are missing or corrupted:
    C:\windows\dblbuff.sys
    C:\windows\ifshlp.sys
    incorrect dos version
    incorrect dos version
    cannot find WIN.COM
    unable to continue loading windows


    It would be nice to use my computer for a change.
    Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Have you tried booting up with your boot up disk and re-installing Windows over the top to replace damaged/missing Window files?
