    Hi all.

I recently upgraded my ram up to 16gb of 1600mhz (4gb x 4) . However on my pc and bios I see that it is only running at 1333 mhz. I've seen some videos on how to speed it up and it says to enable XMP but for some reason it is greyed out and I can't enable it. My specs are

    - gigabyte Z87X-UD3H

    -Corsair vengeance 1600 RAM

    -i7-4770K

Not all RAM is XMP complainant....That being said what is the actual make/model of your RAM. There's a lot of variations of the vengeance line.

Now, here's the reason why your RAM is being read at 1333mhz. All modern RAM, by default, is set to run at 1333mhz....it just the way it is even though it say's it 2400mhz. What you have to do is; change it in the BIOS to the correct speed.
