    Hi guys,

I have an asus k550 ldv and its configurations are as follows:-
    Processor: i7 2.7Ghz
    Graphics: Nvidia 820M 2gb
    Ram: 4gb ddr3l 1600Mhz
    Hard-disk: 1Tb
    Expandability: 1 ram slot(upto 4gb)

My question is, firstly, if i need to put 4 gb ddr3 or ddr3l in the extra slot, and secondly, can i put 4 gb in the extra slot and then somehow dedicate 2gb of it to the graphics card, thus getting a configuration of ram:6gb and graphics:4gb.

I would appreciate a helpful reply to my query.

    Thanks

You can't, the video memory is dedicated not shared on the 820M, further there is no point as the 820M is an entry level GPU and doesn't need 2GB of RAM let alone more.

If you go to a site such as Crucial.com you can see and buy the exact compatible RAM for the laptop.
