From time to time when I insert CD's into my Sony / LiteOn CD burner I get the message "Invalid Function" when trying to open the CD in Windows Explorer. It seems to happen more when I insert CDR/RW's. I can, however, still boot just fine to those CD drives - and access them from linux. Any ideas why windows does this?

Follow this route: My computer>select the drive>file menu>properties>click the recording tab>checkmark the box by "Enable CD recording on this drive">apply>OK

If there is already a checkmark in place- sorry I have nothing to add.
