Right i created a Website Page in photoshop then i did all my slices and rollovers and links and stuff then saved it

right now i'v got to point where i want to add a "PAYPAL DONATE TO ME" Link i went on the paypal website and created my link and saved the code in a txt file on my comp

when i load my website up ms frontpage the website looks perfect even in the preivew

i choose the position where i want my paypal thingy to go and go into html view and copy and paste the code when i then go back to the preveiw its as if the paypal just cracked my page like a hammer hitting glass i dont think i'm inserting paypal propably so i could do with a hand.

in imageready firstly i created a slice for the paypal to go into and left it blank was this the right thing to do

can someone help me with inserting html into a photoshop created website

i attached a image of wht my website looks like when i insert the code

it aint pretty lol its destroys my pretty website lol

hope someone can help!!!!

(Not sure if this is in the right palce this thread)

Can you post the page html (or link to it) without the paypal button so we can look at it, it may be as simple as a table.

I've attached the html code for all my donate to me page

where "images/Donate-To-Me_12.gif" this image is this is where i want the donate to me button to be but i want it to like overlay the image so i dont get lots of white space round the out side cause tht gif12 is bigger than the actual donate to me button

Hello, sorry but I am not positive where you want your button to be with your example, but you should use the image as a background where the button code goes.

I have re-written an area where I think the button is to go, but as you say im not positive this is the area you wish it.
Look for in my code the
Code:
<td rowspan="2"[b] background="images/Donate-To-Me_14.gif"[/b]>&nbsp;</td>
You notice that I have removed the image in the rowspan, and instead changed it to a background="image.jpg"

Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<title>Donate To Me</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
<!-- ImageReady Slices (Donate To Me.psd) -->

Dont worry about the red underlining, it's a common problem that frontpage has. I am not coding using WYSIWYG editor, it is pure html.

now, in the "leftover parts" you mentioned in your image prob 3.jpg in post #6, add
Code:
background="images/Donate-To-Me_12.gif">&nbsp;
to the <td>

It should look like this:
Code:
<td background="images/donatetome_12.gif">&nbsp;
			</td>
Then copy and pste your paypal code inthe the area where the space is (remove and replace the &nbsp; with the paypal code)
The layout may be affected because the image for paypal button is too large for that area. If this is true then you will need to slice the image larger in photoshop so the buton will fit into it OR make all the corresponding images background images too in that table area.

Can you proviced the paypal button code your using (without your email in it please)
I will piece it together for you.

In your attached code, you have this on the second line.
HTML:
<td>background="images/donatetome_12.gif>
Change it to what Sequal7 suggested in his/her previous post!
HTML:
<td background="images/donatetome_12.gif">
Notice the space instead of ">" after "td" and the closing quotation marks would be nice to add in there, too.

It appears that your table row is too short to accomodate that button. I think the easiest way to fix it might be to just take it out of the flow.

We're going to add a little code to your paypal button.

Where you have this:
HTML:
<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but21.gif" border="0" name="submit" ...
add this style element to it:
HTML:
<input type="image" style="position:absolute; top:400px; left:500px;" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but21.gif" border="0" name="submit"
You can change the numbers (400 & 500) to try and get the button exactly where you want it. Tell me if that helps you at all.
