About a month ago my Inspirion 530 stopped giving all audio from YouTube and other sites and from even my CD's. I admit I just started using these activities in earnest about 9 months ago and my PC is only 4 years old.

Check your sound card setting in the Control Panel, maybe they're turned off
You can also reinstall it (also in the Control Panel)

Keebellah, my sound is back. Thank you very much. I did not find a "card sound setting" in my control panel. But as I started to try by opening Control Panel as you suggested--I clicked on "Change default settings for media or devices," which is under "Auto Play"--clicked on "Reset all Defaults"--opened Media Center and put in a CD, which played right away--I then went to a YouTube link--clicked on it and it did not play, so I glanced at the volume level in YouTube's window and turned it up--Plays perfectly. I am going to donate $25 right now to this site. I will now try to find my sound card settings for the future, but wonÂ’t change a thing. I would have been a PC guy now if they had been around when I was growing up.
