Ok, I am interested in installing new RAM for both a desktop and laptop computers. I have looked into this and it seems like a pretty simple process. Can anyone give me any good advice and any online tutorials that will help me out?
Thanks!
It is an easy process. For desktops, line up the notch, and zig zag it into place until its completly seated. For laptops, insert the ram on an angle, and then press it down until it locks into place.
The most important part is match the exact model ram that is compatible with your motherboard or branded computer at a site that has a configurator such as www.crucial,corsair or kingston.com. You don't just buy speed, you buy the model as there are many other factors.
crucial can't figure this out when i take it online, course they quit making it some time ago and it's long gone
but it is their own, you would think they could identify it
