Hi. I just got a new Dell computer which is running Windows Vista. My previous computer has Windows XP running on it. If I connected my older harddrive (with Windows XP) to the new harddrive (with Vista) will I be able to access the files (ie mp3's, documents, etc) on the old drive or do i need to format the older drive or will that info be lost either way? Thank you.

If it's ide, jumper it as slave and whatever else is on that cable set as master and you should see it and be able to copy off whatever you like.
