Have applications on my hard drive that I haven't touched since I first got the computer over 4 years ago, so I am doing some spring cleaning.

I have an HP Pavilion w/ Windows XP operating system.

I try both "uninstall" in the "Start-->Application-->Uninstall" and in the "Add/Remove" area. Both attempts I get "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file."

Can any one give me a heads up?

    Thankyou, twocat

You have run a "cleaning" program the deletes LOG files.
Some of these files ARE just logging files, but some are needed for uninstall purposes.
The application you have selected is one of those.

Options are to reinstall it and then uninstall it.
    Or, forget about it.
