After failing to boot Puppy from usb, I succeeded in booting from portable CD drive in usb. Now I would like to install Puppy on my hard drive and eliminate busted Windows that's there now.

Please do not start more than one thread for the same issue.

    Closing duplicate.

I re-opened because while the issues are related the threads are not duplicates. The other one (I think) is about creating a bootable USB flash drive while this one is about installing to hard drive.

Are you having trouble understanding how to start the install or questions about specifics?

While running from the Live CD you click on "Install" (I haven't used Puppy for awhile and my memory is fading, but I think that is the exact option on the desktop and/or in the main menu) and will get a choice to install software or to install Puppy. One of the primary choices you will face is to install "full" or "frugal." I always have installed full, but other experienced users here advise that frugal is better.
