Hello, recently me netbook screen cracked so I had to plug it into a external monitor. I am running solus os and would like to install ubuntu sconce I have a screen big enough to support it. When I boot with the USB pluged in, the computer doesn't recognize the screen. Is there anyway I could install ubuntu from terminal on solus? Or can I put the hard drive into another computer and install on that one?

It's possible to do a network install, but have you tried using the function keys to switch to the external monitor after booting from the USB or checking your BIOS to see if you can set the external screen as the default?

If you're interested in pursuing a network or SSH install, check out Ubuntu's installation page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation
