Install Windows 98 Over An XP Operating System

Ok, Ive Had Enough, The "Unmountable Boot Volume "Error Message Has Won, Im Humble In Defeat And Am Off Back To Windows 98.

this Is The Fifth Time In As Many Months I Have Had This Error, Im Informed That The XP NTFS System Suffers This Whereas The Old FAT 32 Win 98 Does Not, And Being As My Laptop Is Prone To This Fault I Would Like Advise On The Following:

How Can I Get To The "Format c" Prompt On A Machine Running Windows XP?

Go to the link above and download the ultimate boot disc. Save it to your desktop then insert a clean floppy and double click on the icon, and it should create a boot disc. Then boot up from the disc and run fdisk, and then format c: but be sure to backup anthing you want to keep first.:) You may need to go into bios and change the boot sequence to boot from a: first.

Have Searched The Homepage For the Ultimate Bootdisk And There Is No Mention Of Support For XP?



v4.3m BOOT DISKS

WinME if you now use Windows ME (615kb)

Win95/98 if you now use Windows 98/95 (615kb)

The Link To Download The Ultimate Bootdisc Directs You Back To The Main Page Of The Site? It Is A Loop, There Is No Download. I Will Try The Millenium Download From "Startdiscs" Homepage

The Millenium File Will Not Work As It Only Allows You To Upgrade To XP But Does Not Start XP

Have Tried The Link, Its A Loop, Try It Yourself, It Just Takes You Back To The Homepage?...Not To A Download Link?

Hmmm, I Think Im Jinxed?...Honest To God I Get No Download Prompt, Just Taken Back To The Homepage?....I Will Disable My Download Manager And Try Again

No worries it should work okay it has all the support for different cd roms etc, best boot disc I've come across.
