installation after format

hi.

i just formatted my computer, and now i want to install my windows, but when im installing it, installation dosnt copy all files... "setup canot copy the file: comctl32.dll"
and after installation i get a message "winlogon.exe unable to locate component"
and nothing happens after.

can someone help me, im a beginner and i dont know what to do :(

Welcome!

Are you reinstalling from an XP CD or from a recovery HDD partition?

If from a CD, ensure that the CD is clean.
One common reason for not finding files in a reinstall is faulty computer RAM.

im reinstalling it from CD... and yes, my CD has few scraches.
what can i do to finnish my installation.

i habe also got another windows xp on a usb stick and i wonder if i can install windows from a usb stick...

i reinstalled because my pc was slow...

and how can i use those programs if i cant even go to my desktop or do anything...

ohh and now i have another problem.. it looks like it installed, but without few files that are missing and now i get "Interface Failiure"

Use the computer you are on now to make the test CD or floppy and boot with it.

Probably just a bad CD, find someone with a replacement. You may be able to just use the one you have and go do a repair.
