I just bought an eMachine for my daughter and her old Lexmark Z700 printer will not work. Vista basic was pre installed and Lexmark told me to download new drivers. I burned it to a cd as her pc does not have internet access. We followed the steps Lexmark gave completely, yet when she tries to print it says the printer is not connected. Help!!

Make sure that the connection are properly plug in. Then check again the driver if needed try to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Also, make sure that the printer driver is Vista compatible.

Thanks, we uninstalled the printer twice and I downloaded the patch from Lexmark and burned it to a cd. The PC with the printer is not, nor will be connected to the net. I think I am just going to buy a new vista compatible printer -
