installing dll files

    Someone please help this computer illiterate. How in the hang do you install dll files after you unzip them.

    Depends on which dll file they are and what they are going to be used for. If they are to replace an existing dll file then you must find the one that resides on your system now and rename it old and then place the new one in the same folder. If they are new dll files that are missing for some reason then just place them in the correct folder they are missing from. If they are associated with an update then there should be an associated setup program that will install the dll's for you.

    In addition to what Davey said, if the dll you need to install is one that's currently missing on your system, C:\Windows\System is usually where it belongs.
