installing five plus two comps to a network

    hi does anyone know the steps in installing five computers to a printer on a network with two others to use the same printer and i need the step by step instructions on how to do this so in total that makes 7 computers on the same network but five using one printer and 2 using one printer

    Really need a little more info, in the area of the two PCs presently networked to a printer.

    How are they handling IP adresses (is one PC acting as the DHCP sever) or are they assigned fixed IP adresses?

    Without some basic setup info, you could be led on a destructive journey.

    Do the existing 2 PCs connect via a hub/switch?
    Is there a spare 5 inputs on the hub/switch?

    Is the existing printer connected to the network via a print server, or is it connected directly to one of the PCs?
