I purchased a new Gateway desktop model DX4831. I tried to install iTunes 9 and it will not work. It says cannot access network location. It will download just won't install. The system runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. When trying to install i am using the administrator user name. Although when i try the installation under non-administrator users it seems to go further in the installation to the point where it checks the configurations and then just stops. At a complete loss.

I know there have been problems with iTunes on 64-bit OSes. Please confirm that you did download the 64-bit version. On that page you have to select 64-bit before the Download button.
