Installing Office 2007 on my new laptop

This is probably a ridiculously stupid question, but...

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer for my family last summer (XP OS) and had Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 installed on it. Therefore, I have an unopened disk with the product key on the back.

I'm going to be purchasing a new laptop from Dell this summer for my own personal use (Vista OS) and I need Office 2007 on it. I am not going to pay to have it installed since I have a brand new disk that I purchased last summer.

Since my desktop is XP and my laptop will be Vista, it will still install correctly, right? I assume Office 2007 is compatible with both OS?

Thanks!

Is the product key on the disk the same key that the installation of Office is using? The license follows the key not the physical disk. It doesn't matter if it's unopened.

As to whether or the license can be used on multiple computers, you'd have to consult the specific license agreement for that installation.
