Installing on brand new HDD

    I have just built my first computer and am attempting to install Microsoft Windows XP: X64 edition. I get through the initial installation and it tells my comp will reboot and then continue setup. it then restarts and i get te windows logo and a loading screen but then nothing happens. someone please help me out. i don't want to pay microsoft $35 for help. Thanks ahead of time for helpin me.

    have you checked your connectors for your hardware and try and format the hdd again. when the windows screen loads and nothing happens then so i understand it is the services. if may be your cd drive as sometimes they can cause that problem

    also you may want to check your hdd as you may have a faulty drive

    If this is the computer you list in your computer specs, are you loading the SATA drivers from floppy when prompted during the installation?
