I have just upgraded to XP. But it didn't come with a photo finishing software. I still have my software from Window works that has Picture It on it. My question is.... Can i just load Picture it alone from the number 3 disk (there's a series of 6 disks for all the other programs), or do i have to install all 6 or worse yet, is it not possible at all?

I wouldn't risk it. Windows ME is based on Windows 98 which is FAT32. Windows XP uses NTFS. Just use Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 or Picasa from Google. Both are free. Or use Kodak's free photo editing software.
