I'm trying to install Red Hat Linux 6.0 on a Virtual PC (Microsoft Virtual PC 2007). On the step "Making ext2 filesystem on /dev/sda1" the system hangs and I have no variant but to reset the virtual pc. I tried to change the settings for installation packages and HD partitions.

    I'm a biginner in Linux.

    Who can help me?

Linux is not officially supported in Microsoft Virtual PC - see here, plus read it for more information on your task.

To get a successful Linux install under Microsoft Virtual PC, you might have to install in text mode.
