Hello,
I was wondering if i could get any advice on installing 32-bit version of Vista SP1. Specifically if anyone knew of any driver compatability problems on a year old gateway GT5248 running Vista Home premium. I haven't updated any of the drivers since i've had the computer. Windows update downloaded SP1 automatically but I haven't installed it yet.
Thanks in advance for any help, information or advice.

If Windows update downloaded it, then you should be OK as it is self analysing before being offered as an update. Just run the program. It is a rewrite of many items so pop off for an hour after starting it.
If you have difficulty after installation, it can easily be uninstalled again through the Control panel - updates.
fwiw. I would reccomend you go through you drivers and update where you can, particularly the graphics drivers. There have been many significant improvements to Vista drivers over the past year.
