installing win 95 on laptop

    i need to reformat hard drive on my laptop and re-install windows 95, problem is ..my laptop does not have a floppy disk drive ..will my cd-rom install operating system ??????

    No...Windows 95 CD was not bootable. If you have more than 1 partition on the hard drive, then you could copy the *.CAB files to let's say the "D" drive, then format c: /q and then go to the "D" drive and run setup from there.

    Another option would be (if you only have 1 partition) to copy the *.CAB files to a folder on the "C" drive, C:\CABS for example, then reboot into DOS mode and issue the command deltree windows and that'll remove the windows directory. After that is done (which takes several minutes, then from the DOS prompt type cd cabs, and then run setup from there.
