installing win 98

i am presently having win 2000 pro on my pc . i have made two equal partitions of of my hard disk . i wish to install win 98 ,firstly can i install win 98 without losing any of my data? i tried to format C drive of my disk from dos but i was unable to do so due to some FAT error .
how can i install win 98 from cd ?

Hi There!


If you're trying to create a "Dual Boot" system, Win98 MUST be installed first, then install Win2000

You need to go into fdisk and delete the current partition on your hard drive. Then recreate the partition and format it as fat32.

If you are planning on a dual boot , windows is fussy on the order in which the operating systems are installed which means that 98 is to be installed before 2000 on the drive.
