A good multi-booting tutorial, and other how-to's as well can be had at http://www.pcnineoneone.com Win98 Setup gives you the option to install do a different partition. Simply change the path from C:\ to X:\, where X is the letter for your new/target partition. You need a program like Partition Magic to facilitate the multi-booting process. Please see the tutorial at the above mentioned site.

Styxx...good "how to site"...thanks. Read the dual-booting article there, but wondered if only W2K allows that. Any idea whether a new XP configured PC will allow doing something similar with my W98?

Either that, or by adding my old hd drive to new PC and being able to boot up to either XP or W98?

I believe you can multi-boot Win98 on a WinxP machine. you'd just have to use a partitioning utility like, but not limited to, Partition Magic and create a partition to install Win98 on. Then use Partition Magic to multi-boot between partitions. Unless it's really necessary, I wouldn't dual boot if I was you. Make frequent reliable backups of your sensitive data if you do - Backup all your Sensitive Data (Internet Explorer Favorites; Netscape Bookmarks, Address Book and Netscape Mail Folders; Outlook Express Address Books and Folders (compress any Netscape Mail or Outlook Express folders first) letters, pictures, databases, spreadsheets, music, etc.) to removable media for restoring later.

I meant Partition Magic and not Drive Image in my previous post. :(
