Good day. I have a received an IBM think pad laptop 2000 and it has Windows XP installed which has made the computer have problems. The computer is too old for this modern operation system. I'd like to know if i can install windows 98 directly. Will it overwrite windows XP? Ok all advice is very welcomed. Thank you!

You'll need to reformat and start from scratch.

You would have to format the hard drive first then install Windows 98. then you would be set.
