Hi to all, I've just installed an additional hard drive on my pc, I would like to know how ( if possible ) to install a copy of windows 98se on to this drive. The reason for this is that im trying to build a second pc from bits that I've collected from various upgrades and I would like to know that the hard drive was pre-loaded okay so as to eliminate any problems that may arise.

    Thanks in advance Alan :)

You would have to switch the jumpers on the drives, making the one you want to install to master, boot to dos prompt and install.

But it really isn't the best idea as installing it on a machine that it's not intended for will load a bunch of drivers that won't work on the other machine.

Your better of just installing windows once you get the other machine ready.
