i have windows nt 4 on my compuuter when i bought it and want to install Me on it but when it comes to installing i just get a message saying to install it in dos but i havent got dos on my pc just command prompt and it wont work in the shell of it
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Your'e probably better of doing a fresh install which means backingup and formatting. That way you get rid of any junk on your pc and can start afresh;)

Hey not to sound stupid or anything. But do they consider ME a win9x? if you are going to upgrade from NT you should upgrade to either W2K or XP that way you do not have to wipe your system clean. But I agree, if you are going to do anything I would wipe the system clean and then reinstall everything.

win me IS win9x
win me is considered to be 'enchanced' windows 98se by microsoft

most people see it as a downgrade to win 3.11 :)

Ok cool, I just never consider ME as win9x. To be honest I do not even consider ME at all.
